Heimdallr wooden statue from oak

Heimdallr, also known as Heimdall, is a vigilant Norse god known for his foresight, keen senses, and unwavering guardianship.

Stationed at the celestial Bifröst Bridge, he watches over the entrance to Asgard, the realm of the gods, to protect it from invaders and the onset of Ragnarok. Heimdallr possesses extraordinary hearing and eyesight, able to hear grass grow and see hundreds of miles away. He is also the keeper of the Gjallarhorn, a resounding horn that he is destined to blow to signal the beginning of Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods.

Heimdallr is considered the son of nine mothers and is often associated with light, purity, and vigilance, embodying the role of the ultimate sentinel.
