Odin is one of the principal gods in Norse mythology, often considered the father of all gods, known as the Allfather.
He is associated with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, battle, sorcery, poetry, and the runic alphabet.
Odin is a complex, multifaceted deity, known for his relentless quest for knowledge and power, even at great personal cost, such as sacrificing one of his eyes for wisdom. He is the husband of the goddess Frigg and dwells in Valhalla, where he gathers the souls of warriors slain in battle, the Einherjar, to prepare for Ragnarok.
Odin is often depicted as an older, wanderer figure, with a long beard, and is known for his shapeshifting abilities. His symbols include the spear Gungnir, which never misses its target, and his ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who bring him news from all over the world.
